WarnerMedia has announced the debut of it’s streaming service, HBO Max. The service is set to debut on May 27.
WarnerMedia reports that around 10,000 hours of content appear on the the service and will cost consumers $14.99 per month.
Initially announcing it was launching a streaming service in October 2018, The AT&T entity unveiled the HBO Max brand in July 2019.
The service will offer a huge library of popular titles including Doctor Who, The Big Bang Theory, and Friends, which the latter’s reunion show has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic halting production. There will also be original series such as a Strange Adventures, Green Lantern, and SC Superhero High.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that J.J. Abrams was working on three shows for HBO Max: Overlook, set in Stephen King’s The Shining universe; DC Justice League Dark show; and period drama Duster.
HBO Max will be available online and via a number of platforms including Charter Communications and YouTube’s TV MVPD service.
