Peacock Celebrates World Premiere of Original Series TWISTED METAL at San Diego Comic-Con with a Surprise Performance by Sisqó!

San Diego, CA – Peacock kicked of day one of San Diego Comic-Con with a twist as the streamer hosted the world premiere of the upcoming live-action comedy series TWISTED METAL. The action-packed day started off this afternoon with free servings of Salt + Straw’s exclusive TWISTED METAL ice cream flavor debuting for the first time at Sweet Tooth’s ice cream truck.
While fans were being delighted with complimentary ice cream, Sweet Tooth had a few more tricks up his sleeve, leading in a post-apocalyptic Y2K drumline that culminated with a surprise finale and nostalgic performance by R&B singer Sisqó, who lit up the stage with his Billboard chart topper “Thong Song” and a medley of his greatest hits.
Kinda Funny’s Greg Miller hosted the world premiere screening of the first episode of Twisted Metal, followed by a Twisted Metal-inspired version of Kinda Funny’s interactive game, “Kinda Feudy,” which is a off-shoot of Family Feud. Before the premiere started, Miller called out killer clown, Sweet Tooth to play a game of the original Twisted Metal now available on Sony’s PlayStation 5 via PlayStation plus.
After his loss to Sweet Tooth, Miller revealed the “Kinda Feudy” segment would be posted recorded and uploaded on Kinda Funny’s official YouTube. The host then randomly selected six fans from the audience and split them into two teams. Hilarity ensued as each team got a question related to TWISTED METAL and had to select the most popular answers. Miller revealed that one lucky winner of the game will be awarded with a PlayStation 5. However, in another twist (pun intended), Miller awarded the entire winning team (team one) a PS5.
All 10 episodes of TWISTED METAL premiere on Thursday, July 27 only on Peacock.
