Marvel’s AKA Jessica Jones just got an update to the main synopsis with a rather vague new description on Netflix.
The full one is this:
“Ever since her short-lived stint as a Super Hero ended in tragedy, Jessica Jones has been rebuilding her personal life and career as a hot-tempered, sardonic, badass private detective in Hell’s Kitchen, New York City. Plagued by self-loathing, and a wicked case of PTSD, Jessica battles demons from within and without, using her extraordinary abilities as an unlikely champion for those in need… especially if they’re willing to cut her a check.”
So it’s safe to assume that she already did go down that whole superhero road once and she isn’t coping well with the memories/PTSD from the events in the Battle of New York from the first Avengers movie. This is pretty different compared to all the information we got on Daredevil before it’s premiere. We never got something like this when Daredevil was incoming.
I know I am personally excited to see this show even though I have no idea who The Purple Man is or who Jessica Jones is but I am a HUGE David Tennant fan and a Marvel fan so I’ll definitely watch this. Even more so since the first Marvel Netflix series did exceedingly well. Let’s all see what Netflix and Marvel dish out here.
Marvel’s AKA Jessica Jones is set to make it’s premiere sometime this year. It has yet to be announced but when it does I can guarantee you that everyone of us at Up Your Geek will let you know!
