General Lane Marches On To Supergirl

Hold on to your tights, Supergirl fans! Glenn Morshower (24, X-Men First Class, Transformers) has been casted as General Sam Lane. Glenn Morshower has a knack for portraying military men such as Colonel Hendry in X-Men: First Class and General Morshower in the Transformers film franchise so it is no surprise that he would be a candidate to play General Sam Lane, the overprotective father of Lois and Lucy Lane.

His arrival in National City is going to cause some serious trouble when he enlists the help of Supergirl to aid him in a government initiative. His introduction into the show will be coming on the heels of Lucy Lane, portrayed by Jenna Dewan Tatum, who will be a recurring character in the first season of the upcoming CBS television series.

Morshower is perhaps best known for his role as Aaron Pierce on 24, and is an extremely familiar presence in both film and TV, where he’s often played military roles. His many credits include Transformers (and two of its sequels), X-Men: First Class, Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD and three different Star Trek series, along with the film Star Trek: Generations.
