BREAKING NEWS! J.K. Simmons Has Been Cast As Commissioner Gordon In ‘Justice League’

According to an article at Hollywood Reporter, J.K. Simmons, best known for portraying J Jonah Jameson in Raimi’s Spider-Man movies, will be portraying Gotham City’s very own Commissioner Gordon in WB’s upcoming ‘Justice League‘ movie! Justice League will be directed by our very own Zack Snyder and is set to start filming on April 11th, 2016 and due to be released in theaters on November 17th, 2017. The film will star Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, and Ray Fisher as Cyborg who will team up to combat a force greater than themselves.


The character of Commissioner Gordon has been portrayed by many actors over the years. We last saw him in Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight‘ trilogy being played by Gary Oldman and we’re currently seeing a young Commissioner Gordon on Fox’s ‘Gotham‘ being portrayed by Ben McKenzie. Simmons has won a best supporting actor Oscar for the movie ‘Whiplash‘ and, as of late, voiced Mayor Lionheart in the hit animated film ‘Zootopia
