Warner Bros Animation Sets Summer Premiere for ‘Batman: Caped Crusader’ on Prime Video

Warner Bros. Animation, in collaboration with Bad Robot Productions and 6th & Idaho, has officially announced that Batman: Caped Crusader will premiere on Prime Video this summer. Mark your calendars for Thursday, August 1, as all 10 episodes of the series will be available in over 240 territories worldwide.

This exciting announcement precedes Amazon’s May 14 Upfront presentation. In addition to the premiere date reveal, a collection of first look images from the show has been released, offering fans a thrilling glimpse into the dark and brooding world of Gotham City.

Batman: Caped Crusader boasts an impressive production team, including Executive Producers J.J. Abrams, Matt Reeves, and Bruce Timm. This formidable trio, known for their influential work in the genre, brings a fresh perspective to the iconic DC characters. Joining them as executive producers are Ed Brubaker, James Tucker, Daniel Pipski, Rachel Rusch Rich, and Sam Register.

The series plunges viewers into a Gotham City where the corrupt vastly outnumber the good. Crime runs rampant, leaving law-abiding citizens in a perpetual state of fear. Out of this chaos emerges Bruce Wayne, a wealthy socialite who, after a personal tragedy, transforms into a figure that is both more and less than human: the Batman. His solitary crusade for justice draws allies from unexpected places within the GCPD and City Hall. However, Batman’s heroic deeds also lead to dangerous and deadly consequences, setting the stage for an intense narrative.
