Connie Nielsen Has Been Cast As Hippolyta in ‘Wonder Woman’

Breaking news! According to sources at Hollywood Reporter, Danish actress Connie Nielsen has been officially cast as Queen Hippolyta! Hippolyta is the mother of our favorite female superhero Wonder Woman. Nielsen has starred in such movies as Gladiator, One Hour Photo, Nymphomaniac Vol. I, and in ten episodes of The Following starring Kevin Bacon. 
Wonder Woman takes place during the World War I era and is currently filming in the UK and Italy. The film is set to release on June 23, 2017
